Rob and Michelle's Wedding Album!

Since it's taken a while for me to blog the Richards' wedding, I thought I'd do their blog a little differently.  They have already made some changes to the album, they love it, and it's off being printed as I type.  Sooo, here is a special sneak peak at what's to come.  BTW- these are just a few of their page spreads, not the whole album!

This is the page spread of the girls getting ready.  (The black border and opaque band with "Jennifer Allis Photography" are for the web.  They are not in their album.)

This is the guys' preparation page spread.

This spread is from their in-between photos.

And, this is their final page.  Rob wanted to feature his Trans Am in a photo.  Kevin came up with the idea of using their "congratulations" sign in the background.  They LOVED it!

This post is long overdue.  But, I hope the peak into their (yet-to-be-released) album makes up for it!!

Nick and Audrey's Beautiful Day!!

I photographed Audrey's sister, Jaelle's, wedding last summer.  Sunday, I had the distinct pleasure of photographing hers.

(There is a new logo border on these photos.  I'd love to hear what you think on my facebook page.)
This is the infamous boutinere-pinning dance.

Love the silhouette in the doorway of the church.

This photo is from the foyer looking through the rear doors of the church.

These fun "outtakes" from Kevin are a favorite take on the traditional family portrait.

OOOOhhhhhh, check out this one taken in front of the back door of the church.

Check out their hang-time!

This is Kevin's.  I love how it captures the story of the reception.

The reception, at Harry's Harbor Place, was a gorgeous setting!  This image was taken with available light, only.  The sun was setting through the windows in the background.

Audrey and her Dad did a beautifully choreographed dance.  I waited on taking this image until they had Nick framed under their arms.

We ducked out for a few minutes in order to get the sunset.  I think it was worth it!  :)

Nick and Audrey, What a blessing to be a part of your special day!  Thank you for the honor.  God bless your marriage.

An afternoon in the garden: Atwater wedding!!

Seth and Renee' were married under the gazebo at Samuel's Grande Manor.  Absolutely beautiful people joined in an absolutely beautiful location!

Kevin usually hangs back with the bride just before she walks down the aisle.  This was taken during that time.  This photo brings tears to my eyes!

I love getting the groom's reaction to first seeing his bride.

Everybody wanted to get the shot of them coming up the aisle!  You know, it's funny, but when I go to a wedding that I'm not asked to photograph, I never bring my camera.  Not sure why that is.

This image makes me think, "It's just them and God."

See that arch behind them in the above photo?  It made a beautiful frame for some of my images.  This one made the album.  :)

This is another one of Kevin's.  Renee' was looking at me, but I like his capture better.

Columns.  Ahhhhhh.

If you've followed my blog for any previous weddings, you'll know that I love off-camera directional light on the dance floor (taking the flash off my camera, Kevin holds it).  Just look at the mood it gives this photo.

How beautiful are they?  Mother and son

And, father and daughter.

Grandma got her groove on!

Seth and Renee', Thank YOU for trusting us to photograph your amazing day!  We are so excited for you as you begin your life together!  God bless, Kevin and Jennifer

Designed Engagement Hardcover books

Since I've been getting more and more potential clients who (due to distance) are unable to sit down with me before they book their date, I've created this post to show off the designed engagement books.  Engagement photo sessions are a really great way to give us the chance to work together before the wedding.  It always makes the wedding day smoother and more relaxed.  Plus, you get this designed coffee-table book with your favorite images in it!  I usually design them to be 8x10 books.  That means when you open it, the spread is 20x8.

Once we've designed it, you receive an email with the proposed layout.  This is the cover (open flat).

The following images are page spreads.

Once you receive the digital preview, you have complete freedom to make changes.  We work together to be sure that you LOVE it before it's printed.  Production time is about 3 weeks on these books.  So, I usually like to take engagement photos at least a month before the wedding.

Look out World: Joe's coming!

This past week I had the pleasure to photograph Joe's senior photos.  I first met Joey when he was 4 or 5.  So, the fact that he's graduating is unbelievable enough.  But, at the session, when his "inner model" came out, I was blown AWAY!  I think you'll agree.

He's something, huh?

It was impossible to make this kid look bad.  (Not that I was trying, lol!)

So, my question now is, "How in the world do you choose a favorite?"

Thankfully, that's not my job.  :)

Kevin and Kelly!

Kelly called me a couple of months ago to see if I was available for her wedding.  I was so excited for her!  She has been in two weddings that I've photographed.  Now, it's her turn!  So, she and Kevin met me at a great nature trail in the town of Lockport for their engagement session!

At first, I called the shots.  I'm romantic, so I wanted to see them get cuddly.

But, I quickly saw that my "romantic" was their "hilarious!"

So, I let them do their own thing.  :)  Life is so much better unscripted!!

Here's showing off her bling!

Stay tuned for this cool couples' wedding photos next summer!!

I'm one of those people who watch the Olympics for the stories of the athletes. My heart gets all wrapped up in the beauty of watching someone come from unknown to household name in the time it takes to do a gymnastics routine. So, to have a venue to share with you, not just the photos, but the stories behind them, well, I'm just so excited! If you are not yet a Facebook friend, you can do that here. What's cool about that is you'll have updates from Jennifer Allis Photography hot off the press! Thank you for reading, and viewing.
