Engagement photo session down on the farm: Jimmy and Jessica

Jimmy and Jessica are getting married in August.  They both work at Jessica's family's farm, located just a couple of miles from my home.  They milk thousands (yes, THOUSANDS) of dairy cows.  Jessica used to take dairy cows to the local fair, so we started out with her old show cows.

Then we went in the corn field.  That's a dairy barn in the background.

A little stroll through the dairy barn.  (SEE how many there are?  And, this is only one of the barns!)

Jimmy indulged Jess with the cows, but his thing is really the tractors.  (This is subtly noticed by the milk cans they're sitting on ;)

I am in love with Jessica's hair.  Look at it!  Red, wavy, beautiful.

Then we moved on to the tractor side of the farm.

See those grain bins in the photo above?  This is Jimmy and Jessica climbing one.  They're HUGE!

While coming down, Jimmy said, "You should go up there and get a picture!  The view is great."  So, I did!

Jess's ring on a stalk of wheat.

There they are, in the tractor, with their dog, Dory.  :)

We're outside of the same tractor for this last shot.

This session was awesome!  A little trip back to my roots.  :)

A Sunshine Wedding: Bo and Danielle :)

One of my favorite words in the english language is this couples' last name: Sunshine.  In fact, after this wedding, I was trying to come up with new names for Jennifer Allis Photography (Sunshine Images?).  Well, for now it will remain as it is.  But, I was inspired.  Bo and Danielle had a glorious afternoon for their  wedding.

Danielle was lovely.

Kevin got this image.  The groom, followed by the Dads, followed by groomsmen.  Love it!!

Inside:

Kevin got this, too!   He was camped in the balcony and got the ring, j . u . s . . . t about on her finger!

Again, Kevin's: Yep, he's starting to show me up (and I couldn't be more thrilled!!)

We had time to stop at their house for a toast.

Kevin loves to get these side pics while I'm getting the formals.  I love the angle.

I loved this bridal party!  They were ALL siblings of either the bride or groom.  So, they had this great camaraderie.  Very fun group!

We went out on the golf course for a few minutes with the bride and groom.

Shots like this:

and, this:

I loved this cuddly shot with Grandma and Grandpa!

Kevin climbed a staircase just in time to get this shot of the toast.

Three generations of Sunshines form "The Sunshine Band."  And, they rocked!

The bride and groom were lifted up on chairs!  Jewish ceremony!

Bo and Danielle, Thank you for trusting Craig and Carrie's recommendation and allowing us to photograph your wedding!

Jamaal and Vanessa!

I was sooo excited to get a call from Vanessa, about her upcoming wedding.  I had a blast photographing her brother, Jacob's, wedding this January!  In fact, as Kevin and I drove home from that amazing event, I told him that I would looooove to do more weddings with their family and friends.  So, when Vanessa called, I about jumped at the opportunity to do her photography, too.  I think you'll see why when you check out some of these images.

They came up to get photographed in my "backyard".  These are right along the Erie Canal.  I love the way he looks at her.  :)

Really, Jamaal did half of my work.  I was just snapping away as he got these kinds of reactions from Vanessa.  (Thanks, Jamaal!)

Next we went to the railroad tracks.  Fun!

They are a beautiful couple!

They changed and then we went to the crumbling old mill behind my house.

Being the gentleman that he is, he carried her shoes.  *sigh*

And, of course we had to show off her bling!

Jamaal and Vanessa, THANK YOU for choosing me to do your photography!!

Introducing: Mr. and Mrs. Gordy Hermanson!!

This past weekend, Gordy and Melissa got married!!  They are even now on their honeymoon (good for them!!)

She was ready!

And, for being an auto-mechanic, I'd say his hands cleaned up pretty well!  (one of Melissa's wishes-fulfilled :)

Her entrance was one of those emotionally-charged times.  Tears abounded!

For the bridal party photos, we went to Three Sisters Island in Niagara Falls.  Isn't she lovely?

I love the shadow on the sidewalk here.  That, and the railing leads your eye to the bride and groom.

First dance as man and wife.

Her dance with her Daddy.

And, their smiles :)

And, an emotional Mother-of-the-Groom dances with her son.

Time for some fun!!

The father of the bride got in on the action!

It was a wonderful day for a wonderful couple!  Congratulations, Gordy and Melissa!

Sweet Audrey and Nick!

Audrey and Nick will soon be wed.  But, beforehand, we had to get some really great engagement shots.  To make these images we spent a couple of hours at Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, NY.  Enjoy!

I'm starting out with a bang, because, well, I can!  :)  Truly, if you had seen where we were for this shot, well, let's just say it was less than elegant.  But, when I looked through my viewfinder and saw this, *surprise* I was ecstatic!

So sweet.

Because we were at . . .

Check out that bling.  GO NICK!!
